Remote Access Process

1. Sending us your source documents - You can send us your source documents through various ways. We can stop by and pick them up. You can scan the documents and e-mail the documents to our mail box. You can also fax it to our toll free fax or place it in your computer, so that we can access it remotely.

2. Connecting securely to your computer through internet- In the second stage, we will connect to your computer by using a remote desktop access service, such as, Secure VPN.

3. Updating the books and logging out - We will update your books during the night, so when you come to office the next morning, you will find the updated books on your computer!

Using Remote Access, we can view, remotely control, and change your QuickBooks file to train, analyze and solve problems. We could use Remote Access sessions to show you how to use a QuickBooks feature or to troubleshoot a problem. You would have results in real time, without having to wait for a scheduled visit to your office. Acorn Business Advisors initiates the Remote Access sessions, but permission for each session must be granted by you, using your private password and a unique session access code. This way, you are always in control of the access to your data. You only give us access to your QuickBooks file, not to any other program, file, or function on your computer. Remote Access sessions protect your data using 128-bit encryption, the same security technology used by banks and online trading firms for their online transmissions. All data – including screen images, file transfers, and keyboard and mouse input- is fully encoded using state-of-the-art encryption and is transmitted using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to prevent interception.
